Noté par Neil MARTIN/VINOUS : 92/100 / Commentaire : ” The 2023 Saint-Véran Sur La Carrière comes from 45-year-old vines and was aged in demi-muids with ten months on the lees. This has closed down a little in the last 12 months, though it just needs time, showing light touches of vervaine and citrus peel. The palate is well balanced with hints of peach and mango, gently spiced with impressive weight on the finish. Afford this 18 months or so in bottle.”

Pure and expressive nose offering fine oak and toast with roasted hazelnut, fresh peach, ripe citrus and chalky notes. The palate shows a tremendous grip with unctuous young fruit supported by an invigorating acidity, fine extract, layers and a very long lingering finish with fine oak integration. Great potential. »
Noté par Neil MARTIN/VINOUS : 91/100 / Commentaire : ”The 2022 Saint-Véran Sur La Carrière is matured entirely in demi-muids, primarly new with one-year-old vessels. This has a creamy bouquet originating from the oak that slightly masks the wine at the moment. The palate is well balanced with a seductive, smooth, somewhat honeyed texture. You’d almost think there is a little botrytised fruit in the mix. But there is real volume and balance here, certainly the richest in style, caressing towards the finish. Fine. It deserves two or three years in bottle.”
